Additional Information
Project 515 Education Campaign
Project 515 Education Campaign is committed to educating Minnesotans about the lack of equal rights for same-sex couples and their families and its impact on our state.
It is part of a family of organizations along with Project 515.
We envision a world of equality where all families are equally valued and respected under the law and in their homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities.
Project 515 Education Campaign initiatives
Communications and Public Relations – Project 515 Education Campaign educates Minnesotans about the discrimination and inequality that exist for same-sex couples and their families in our state through a comprehensive Communications and Public Relations campaign. More specifically:
- Community visits – Project 515 volunteers meet with political, religious, education and community leaders throughout the state to begin a dialogue on the lack of equal rights and potential solutions. The visits also include presentations to business, religious and educational organizations.
- Media relations – We reach out to reporters and editors via in-person meetings and interviews, op-ed pieces, news releases and letters to the editor.
- Business Leadership – We partner with businesses and business schools to continue to build a case for why equality makes good business and economic sense. With hundreds of Minnesota employers that provide domestic partnership benefits, it is clear that Minnesota needs to follow the lead of business and treat same-sex couples equally.
Project 515 Political Action Committee
Project 515 Political Action Committee endorses fair-minded candidates and supports the campaigns of policy leaders who advocate for full equality for all Minnesota families.
